While filling in for Martin Garrix, Porter Robinson made a tribute to Garrix at Ultra Music Festival Korea.
After suffering a leg injury from which it will take a few weeks to recover, Martin Garrix was forced to cancel upcoming shows in order to avoid permanent injury. Luckily for Ultra Korea attendees, Porter Robinson was able to replace the injured Martin Garrix (real name Martijn Gerard Garritsen).
Robinson was already set to play as his alter-ego, Virtual Self, so fans were treated to a double dose of Robinson tunes at the Everland Speedway in Yongin, Korea. Towards the end of his set, Robinson sent a tribute to Garrix and wished him well while playing one of his tracks. It starts at 49:00 in the below recording.
A dedicated attendee recorded most of the set and the aforementioned tribute and uploaded the audio to SoundCloud for all to hear.
Robinson revealed that he promised Garrix he would play one of his tracks during his set and was met with an eruption of cheering and singing from fans of the duo. The chosen track was Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha‘s 2016 track “In The Name of Love.”
