KRANE and QUIX have long been two of the brightest minds in bass music, constantly breaking the limits and raising the bar for what a quality production sounds like. While KRANE was working on his collaborative project SESSIONS, that has helped launch the careers of artists such as Sober Rob or Jupe, he was also showcasing his originality in sound by releasing numerous sample packs. QUIX on the other hand, has collaborated with and remixed literally everyone – From Gucci Mane and Boombox Cartel to Skrillex and TroyBoi – and has long embarked on his World Tour, after releasing his 8 track EP Heaps Cool on Dim Mak.
When two names like these join forces in the studio, none can exactly guess what is going to come out; their followup collaboration to “Monuments” however, exceeds all expectations. A true blend of the two artists’ styles, “New World” builds quickly before it drops into a filthy showcase of metallic sound design and trap percussion, while a cinematic break leads to the explosive, melodic second drop.
“Next World” continues the cinematic and epic atmosphere that along with brand new covers, is characterising KRANE’s forthcoming debut album Fallout, out October 27th on Dim Mak, and is the most versatile out of the three singles out of the album he has released until now, along with “Nobody But You” and “Monarch” with MYRNE. KRANE also closed the submissions of the fifth instalment of his SESSIONS collaborative project, so this is another thing fans can expect from the producer soon enough.
In the meantime, QUIX will keep killing it on his 2017 World Tour, with What So Not, Baauer and Alison Wonderland coming up soon as special guests at selected shows:
Stay tuned for more from these two, and let us know what you think of “New World”!
